10 Killed, Wounded in an Explosion in Afghan Capital

KABUL – An explosion took place in west of Kabul earlier this afternoon killing at least one person and injuring nine others, Afghan officials said.
Officials in the Ministry of Interior (MoI) confirmed that the explosion took place in Dar-ul-Aman area of the city.
The officials further added that it targeted a vehicle which was transporting a group of government employees.
According to Dr. Wahidullah Mayar, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Health the incident killed one person and wounded at least 9 others.
He added that the ministry has received initial figures regarding the casualties and the exact figure may change.
In the meantime, sources in Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission are saying that the incident has killed four employees of the commission.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
