12 Taliban Militants Killed in Uruzgan and Helmand

KABUL – The Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) killed at least 12 Taliban militants during a military operations in Uruzgan and Helmand provinces, officials said Wednesday.
According to reports, Afghan soldiers killed 7 Taliban fighters in Tarin Kot district of Uruzgan province, adding that, Security forces also destroyed a large quantity of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
Additionally, The ANSF conducted an airstrike in Marjah district of Helmand and killed 5 Taliban fighters.
It should be mentioned here that Uruzgan and Helmand are among the volatile provinces in Southern Afghanistan.
