13 Daesh Militants Killed, 55 Taliban Surrender in Kunar: ANA

ASAD-ABAD – At least 13 Daesh were killed and 55 Taliban fighters have surrendered during the ongoing operations in eastern Kunar province, the Afghan National Army (ANA) said in a statement.
As per a statement by the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East, counter-terrorism operations are underway in eastern Kunar province to suppress the enemies.
“The operations were launched three days ago, and at least 13 ISIS Khurasan militants were killed and 55 Taliban renounced and joined peace process after surrendering to armed forces,” the statement added.
According to reports, the ground forces are also being supported by the air force and artillery units of the military.
Taliban and Daesh have not commented in this regard so far.
