ANSDF Free 34 Hostages from a Taliban Prison

PUL-E-KHUMRI – The Afghan Special Forces have freed 34 people from a Taliban prison during an operation in Baghlan province, Interior Ministry (MoI) said in a statement.
According to Interior Ministry spokesperson, Nasrat Rahimi, the operation was conducted on Monday evening.
Rahimi further added that the Special Forces freed 34 people including 7 army soldiers, 7 policemen and 3 intelligence operatives.
This comes as the Afghan Special Forces freed 13 prisoners from a Taliban prison in Kunduz province.
The Special Operations Corps said the Special Forces conducted the operation late last night.
Fighting has intensified between ANDSF and Taliban in the recent days, especially after the peace talks between Taliban and US bore no fruit.
Taliban have not commented on the incident so far.
