US Senator Calls for Invasion of Venezuela By Grenada

WASHINGTON – US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham told Fox News over the weekend that the United States was to conduct a military operation in Venezuela imitating the invasion of Grenada in 1983.
“Trump rightly said that Maduro was not the legitimate leader of Venezuela. The whole region supports the Trump approach, according to which Guaidó is the legitimate leader,” Graham told Fox News on Sunday.
“I would do exactly what Reagan did. I would give Cuba the ultimatum to get out of Venezuela. If this is not the case, I would let the Venezuelan army know, you must choose between democracy and Maduro. And if you choose Maduro and Cuba, we will pursue you. This is in our yard.”
Graham, a well-known NDP and warrior, has repeatedly called on the United States to intervene militarily in several countries, including Venezuela, Iran and Syria.
In an article in the Wall Street Journal last week, Graham called on the United States to be ready to intervene in Venezuela to prevent Cuba from supporting President Maduro. Graham then called Cuba “Iran’s version of the Western Hemisphere”.
“We do not occupy Venezuela, but if Maduro refuses to leave and the Cubans continue to use their military apparatus to support it, it is in the interest of national security to do in Venezuela what Reagan did to the Granada,” he added.
