Blast at a Wedding Ceremony Kills Six in Nangarhar

JALALABAD – A suicide bombing at a wedding party in the eastern province of Nangarhar left six people dead and more than 14 others wounded, the provincial governor’s spokesperson, Attaullah Khogyani, said.
“The blast happened at early hours of Friday morning in Pachir Aw Agam district of Nangarhar when the guests were gradually gathering to celebrate the wedding ceremony, “Khogyani said.
Khogyani further added that the suicide bombing was carried out by a minor.
He said the wedding ceremony was of the son of the head of the public uprising forces in the district who was the target of the explosion and lost his life in this incident.
Taliban, in a statement, denied any sort of involvement in the incident.
