Eight Taliban Militants Killed in Faryab

MAIMANA – Eight Taliban militants were killed and six others were wounded during a joint clearance operation carried out by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in Parchaman district, western Farah province, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement.
As per the statement, fifty-four villages of Parchaman are cleared of armed Taliban militants and the clearance operation is under way to clear rest of the areas.
A separate report indicated that 8 Taliban militants were killed and 12 others were wounded after ANDSF conducted a joint clearance operation in Pusht Rod district, Farah province.
“Three roadside bombs were also detected,” the statement added.
It is highlighted that several villages of Pusht Rod cleared of armed Taliban and several check posts established at various points to ensure the security.
