Ghani is Using His Authority for Election Campaign: Noor

MAZAR-E-SHARIF – Addressing a public-consultative gathering in northern Mazar-e-Sharif City, Atta Mohammad Noor, the chief executive of Jamiat-e Islami party accused President Ghani of using his power for election campaign.
“Moscow meeting and the participation of politicians in it were not aimed at weakening the government but to preserve and consolidate the system,” he added.
“Moscow summit was not aimed at weakening the government and the politicians attended the meeting to maintain the past two decades’ achievements,” said Noor on Tuesday in Balk province. He further added, “The presidency is seeking to use its authorities for election campaigns and Ghani’s actions indicate it”.
“At the Moscow meeting, we defended civil rights, women’s rights, the constitution; at the Moscow Summit, we said told Taliban that they should accept the government as a reality,”
Noor also mentioned the whispers about the formation of several new provinces in the country, calling it “electoral bribery”.
“This is a bribe which is being paid by the government for the elections,” he said.
He also stressed that president Ghani has monopolized the peace.
It is worth mentioning that the Afghan government strongly reacted against the Moscow Summit, and said that those politicians who have attended the meeting do not have executive authority. On the other hand, the politicians and movements participated at the Moscow meeting accuse the government of monopolizing the peace process.
