If Iran Wants to Fight, It will be Official End of Iran: Trump

WASHINGTON – A few days after declaring that it was ready to negotiate, US President Donald Trump launched a direct threat to Iran, suggesting that the Islamic republic would be destroyed if it attacked his country’s interests.
“If Iran wants to fight, it will be the official end of Iran, never threaten the United States again,” Trump wrote on Twitter. He did not specify what threats he meant.
The confrontation took place after last week’s attacks on Saudi oil resources and rocket fire on Sunday in the heavily fortified “Green Zone” of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, home to numerous government buildings and embassies.
The Iraqi army has declared that the rocket attack did not cause any casualties. There was no claim of responsibility.
In the face of escalating tensions with Iran, Washington has sent an aircraft carrier and B-52 bombers to the region, as well as an amphibious assault ship and a Patriot missile battery.
On Wednesday, he ordered the evacuation of non-essential personnel from the US embassy in Baghdad and the Erbil consulate in northern Iraq, citing “imminent” threats from Iraqi armed groups backed by Iran. He did not reveal any details, and his account provoked widespread skepticism outside the United States.
But in recent days, the White House has sent mixed signals about its stance against Iran, among many reports in the US media alleging internal struggles in Trump’s cabinet.
John Bolton, Trump’s national security advisor for a long time, would pressure Iran, but other members of the administration resist. Trump himself recently said he had to “temper” Bolton.
And when asked on Thursday whether Washington was going to war in Tehran, Trump said, “I hope not.” This comment comes one day after he expressed his desire for dialogue, tweeting: “I’m sure Iran will want to talk soon.”
“It is becoming increasingly clear that this administration is sending conflicting messages regarding Iran,” said Patty Culhane of Al Jazeera, Washington, DC report.
“So, the big question is, why did he send this tweet of confrontation?” Is it because he received a classified briefing or was it because of something he watched on TV? do not know it.
